Poetry is he that holds it down strong as he connects with his emotions
Poetry is they that place a warm smile at your feet and a mirror image is in your eyes.
Poetry is she, he, they that loves…anyway
Poetry is understood, misunderstood, defined, undefined, pure in diversity, opened expressions, personalized with lows… highs… reflecting energy absorbed from the trees that breathe, releasing air supplied from "Him Almighty" on high…giving you life.

The MAGIC in Poetry is the WHO
TEN FEET TALL AS I WRITE
AS I WRITE I SEARCH FOR WAYS TO RISE ABOVE THE CONCRETE SMILES AND ANCHORED SOULS OF STEEL.
I TAKE FLIGHT SURPASSING HUMAN THOUGHT FROM SPIRITUAL CONFUSION INTO THE UNCOMMON CALM OF GRACE. I FEEL TEN FEET TALL AS I WRITE…ON THE WINGS OF THE WIND BLOWING EAST---I MET MY SPRING IN WINTER….TIME LINGERED FOR MILES BREATHING A WAY OUT OF NO WAY FROM NOWHERE. MY FATHER SUMMONS ME WITH EXPRESSIONS FOR COMPLETENESS TO BE MADE OVER…MADE WHOLE. A STREAM OF STARS KNEW MY NAME…I AM BORN AGAIN, I FEEL TEN FEET TALL AS I WRITE. IN THE HEAT OF THE LIGHT----BRIGHT WITH TRUTH AND MY RUMINATING SOUL SOARS HIGH ON THE LANDSCAPE OF SEVENTH HEAVEN WHILE MY HEART RESTED IN PEACE…SURROUNDED BY THE UNYIELDING SOUNDS OF HARPS, VIOLINS AND PIANOS RELEASING POWER WITH EVERY NOTE…EVERY STROKE…I FEEL TEN FEET TALL AS I WRITE.

I am dust into being born
I am special, one of a kind...an individual
I am mindful, full of thought...intelligent
I am an idealist, imaginative and creative...an artist
I am capable, bold, wise and powerful
I am not just a female...
I am a woman, mother, daughter and sister
I am loving and lovable
I am meaningful, peaceful and spiritual
I am strong, black and beautiful
I am precious...I am worthy...
I am a gift to all that see my inner being
I am as great as I know I am
